Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 May 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

These Terms govern your use of the VehicleRights service, operated by Nyex Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as VehicleRights ("VehicleRights", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you ("you", the "user") agree to these Terms.

2. The service

VehicleRights is a self-service tool that helps UK consumers organise the facts of a vehicle complaint and generate a structured complaint pack (letter plus supporting summary) based on the information they provide. VehicleRights is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The output is a document built from your inputs; the responsibility for verifying its accuracy and deciding what to do with it rests with you.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory or harassing purpose;
  • submit information you know to be false or misleading;
  • upload malware, viruses, or content infringing the rights of any third party;
  • attempt to probe, scan, reverse engineer, scrape, or circumvent the security or technical limits of the service;
  • resell or redistribute the service, or use it on behalf of third parties as a paid service, without our written consent.

5. Pricing, payment and Merchant of Record

The complaint pack is sold as a one-time unlock at the price displayed on our pricing page (currently £9.99 Letter only or £19.95 Full pack, inclusive of any applicable VAT). The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, invoicing and refunds are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms.

6. Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund window on the complaint pack unlock, subject to the eligibility rules set out in our Refund Policy. Because the complaint pack is digital content delivered on demand, change-of-mind refunds are only available before the pack has been generated or downloaded; refunds for technical failure, duplicate charges, material defect or unauthorised payment remain available throughout the 14-day window. Refunds are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record.

7. Intellectual property

All software, templates, prompts, branding and documentation that make up the service are owned by Nyex Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own personal vehicle complaint. The complaint pack document we generate from your inputs is yours to use for that purpose.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the information and evidence you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and use your content solely to provide the service to you, to support you, and to maintain the security and integrity of the service.

9. Service availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or fault-free operation. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose).

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the service is capped at the greater of £100 or the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of the document we generate, your breach of these Terms, or your unlawful conduct.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay any sums due, present a security or fraud risk, or commit repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account via the account page. On termination, your right to use the service ends, but any clauses intended to survive (intellectual property, liability, indemnity, governing law) remain in force.

13. Privacy

Our processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Notice.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page with an updated "last updated" date.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that consumers benefit from any mandatory protections of their country of residence.
